The Rotary Club of Laurieton’s involvement with the Camden Haven High School (CHHS) Robotics Team began in 2014 under the presidency of John Saunders.
A $4,000 grant funded the introduction of robotics at the school, and since then the program has grown exponentially. Robotics has become a thriving school activity for CHHS students, and has even expanded into the region’s feeder primary schools.
Over the years, students from CHHS have gone on to compete in building and operating robots at local, State, and National levels.
To further support the team, the Rotary Club of Laurieton has recently received another grant, which has enabled the purchase of four new laptop computers. These laptops will be dedicated to the robotics program and used for the design, programming, and operation of future projects in 2026 and beyond.
The Rotary Club of Laurieton is proud to support Camden Haven High School and looks forward to celebrating many more success stories in the years ahead.
